WHAT GOOD HAS HAPPENED?

OK, never have humanity worked so successfully together on common goals. We didn’t reach all the way, but much good was accomplished:

– Global poverty was halved well ahead of the 2015 deadline.

– In developing countries, 90 per cent of children now have some kind of education to attend to.

–The number of people lacking access to drinking water has halved.

– The fight against malaria and tuberculosis has shown positive results.

WHAT IS NOT SO GOOD?

– 73 million young people in the world are looking for a job, and many more are being used under unfair conditions by their bosses.

– In recent years, more than two and a half million more children in rich countries fell into poverty, bringing the total above 76 million.

WHAT'S NEXT STEP

The UN – all countries in the world – continued the work and has agreed upon an ambitious post-2015 development agenda:

Did it make sense to you?

There are two more meetings coming up this year. In the meantime all of us can do small things that makes a h*ll of a difference.
