20 - 100 people, but pick a scale that suits your ambition. Inviting friends from school, your sports club, the university, your workplace or whatever it may be... calls for a little more preparation. But it doesnt need to, you can still just meet at the beach and everybody bring their own stuff.
Inviting to a party on a larger scale might possibly attract friends of friends so the numbar can raise fast without you knowing about it before its time. So keep an eye on how the invitations are being distributed.

Outdoor, idoor, summer or winter. It's always time for a beach party.
The beach is of course ideal. But dont hesitate to think of any other location where you and your friends can meet and party. Since you will be more people it might be good to check about the normal things like water, toilets, parking, security etc. Make wise decisions is our best advice.
If you have a strip or a beach you can always meet there, play some games, have a drink and then move on to a better location suited for the weather, the season, the party or the people. The beach visit is a good "symbolic" statement. Possibly can you arrange the speech part while there – a great opportunity to embrace the sun, the wind and the waves:-)

Besides the obvious: Beach volley, beach tennis, swimming, surfing, kiting, chilling etc, the internet is of course swamped with great beach party games and games you can do indoor.

We recommend you to call people in and establish a Food&Drink Team as things will be easier on you. Perhaps a catering firm could be a good idea and simply deliver the food and drinks for you. You can always check on our page for recipes, inspiration and som climate change insights and tips:

On our download page you will find scripts with suggested short speeches. You decide of course if you want to say something at all, and if so, what to say. We just wanted to help you out, or perhaps inspire you to write your own speech (we would love it if you shared it with us:-)
We are at the moment producing the "Beach Party Agenda Song" and will publish it on the download page together with lyrics and notes as soon as we're done. Will be great for you to play on guitar, trumpet and harp says the producers haha. Bring your harps to the beach folks:-)

Sharing knowledge is part of the solution on how to fix climate change. By inviting a knowledgeable person from an interesting field – maybe from science, health, a professor, a chef, some entrepreneurs or a local hero – you make a great statement to everybody already when you invite them to the party. Like a great cliff hanger: "You don't wanna miss this"
You don't have to have a speaker, but you will definitiely like it if you get one.
Tell the guest speaker/s about our pimped 3 minutes principle. It is there for a reason: Long speeches can easily be a party-killer. We all know that, but you decide by the end of the day.
We recommend you to give max two speakers maximum 3 minutes each "on stage in the limelight" when everybody listen to them. Then everybody knows why they are there. Then whoever is interested can chat with your guest speakers at the side while the party continues.
A nice gesture is to announce the speakers as your beach party's HONORARY HANGAROUNDS. Tell your guest speakers that they are most welcome to stay until the party ends (they probably won't, but it is still a nice gesture).
SKYPE: If distance is a problem, get the speakers on Skype and just burn...
Create an event on Facebook or any other social media you use. Feel free to use our images from the download page if you like to spice up the "look and feel" a little.
Or create your own designed pdf, image or card and send out.
Or why not just making a selfie or groupie video as an invitation? Pretty d*rn fun to do... and to get:-)
